This famous ice and snow festival boasts the three intriguing items – Ice Lanterns, Ice Carving and Snow Sculptures. The venue is the narrow valley in the Longqing Gorge Scenic Area about 80km from Beijing city center.
The Longqing Gorge is a famous summer resort with the 7-km long Gucheng River, which is also called “Little Li River” or “Little Three Gorges of Yangtze River. During the winter the it is transformed with lanterns and ice and snow sculptures during the ice festival.
