The Badaling Great Wall in Beijing is the best-preserved and most complete section of the Great Wall of China. The North Section has 12 watchtowers and The Wall winds up and down the mountain ridges, offering magnificent scenery and steep climbs. A stone column engraved with “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man” is visible along this section, close to watchtower No. 8, the highest point in this area, offering a great bird’s-eye view of the wall. The South Section has seven watchtowers and the slope is gentle and easy to climb.
The best times are April, May and September when the weather is mild and the wall is surrounding by by luxurious green plants. or in October when the wall is covered by red leaves,
