NAPA at Sunset (with city of POS in background and Savannah in Foreground)
The skyline of the City of Port of Spain with the National Academy for the Performance Arts and the Queens Park Savannah in the foreground at sunset.
NAPA is the permanent home for the development of talent in the performing arts in Trinidad and Tobago, with particular focus on our national instrument, the steel pan. The design is reminiscent of the national flower, the Chaconia. At its highest point, the grand, modern building rises up to 100 feet enhancing the state-of-the-art acoustics and offering an inspirational setting for the enjoyment of the performance arts.
The colorful tents in the foreground are located at the Grand Stand in preparation for activities and competitions celebrating Carnival.
